  • HelloStarling (U9s)

We are an independent advertising agency providing media planning and buying alongside a design and branding studio.

We don’t offer lots of services, rather making sure we excel at those we do. Our media planning, buying and creative teams are among the best in the business.

Life is good: we work alongside great people for some wonderful organisations. We don’t take anything for granted though; everything we do is guided by a set of shared principles, which, as well as keeping us on the straight and narrow, genuinely inform our character and, as a result, our work.

Knowledge. Specialising (and loving what we do) means we are experts in our field. We will help you understand the rationale behind our work and understand your customers better than ever.

Honesty. Because we value trust and want to build long relationships – you will always get a straight answer from us.

Care. We care and we want you to know that we do. Our relationships with clients and suppliers are based around them knowing we care and that we will do everything we can to make their lives easier.

  • Monmouthshire Building Society (Awards)

Our aim is to provide a friendly, personal and efficient service, coupled with a range of highly competitive products and total financial security.

At all times we will pursue the concept of mutuality by balancing the interests of both investing and borrowing members as equitably as possible within the framework of market forces.

The Monmouthshire Building Society was established in Newport in 1869 to meet the needs of the local people. The Society operates through a network of branch and agency offices covering the M4 corridor from the town of Chepstow in the east, to Swansea in the west.

Founded as a mutual organisation we believe that this form of corporate status has stood the test of time and is as effective today as it has ever been. We are a totally independent regional Building Society and endeavour to apply true mutual principles to all our affairs.

Monmouthshire Building Society is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and this can be confirmed by using the FCA Register link (under Related Links) and entering the registration number 206052.

We are also members of the Building Societies Association and Council of Mortgage Lenders.

We are members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

  • The Coliseum, JD Wetherspoons (Under 13s)

This pub is the former Coliseum cinema which opened in 1913 and screened its last film in the 1990s. The first permanent film show in Abergavenny was around 1912, when a Victorian corrugated-iron hall was used as the Picture Palace. The following year, the Abergavenny Coliseum Company acquired land in Lion Street and The Coliseum opened on 3 November 1913. In mid 1989, the cinema’s stalls were converted to shops, with a cinema above. By 1998, The Coliseum had become a bingo hall, with various shop units, and is now this Wetherspoon pub.
